WWE - May Week 4, Year 2

WWE Fully Loaded is this Sunday. I want to see how the event shapes up after this week.

Match 1. Gold and Stardust vs. The Nation

Match 2. Ryback and Mark Henry vs. Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose

Match 3. Xavier Woods vs. Damien Sandow

Match 4. Kurt Angle vs. Sheamus vs. Big Show
Angle bit off a little more than he could chew by targeting both men at the same time. He hit Sheamus with three German suplexes. He then went after Big Show while Sheamus grabbed a chair. Sheamus hit Angle in the back and head with the chair. He then hit White Noise. Show took out Angle. Sheamus hit Show with the Brogue Kick and almost won. Show speared Sheamus and left the ring. Angle hit Sheamus with the chair and stole the win.

That was a great triple threat match. All three men want in the WWE title picture, and Angle took the first step.

Match 5. Triple H vs. The Rock
H took Rock down with a clothesline and back suplex. Rocky caught him with a Samoan drop. There were then some back and forth pins. Rock hit another Samoan drop. After a DDT, he locked in the Sharpshooter. Trips pulled out the Pedigree from nowhere, but Rock kicked out. Rock connected with a diving cross body and won with the Rock Bottom.

Trips going into the PPV with a loss doesn't look good. Can he shake it off and focus on his defense?

Main Event. CM Punk vs. JBL
JBL attacked Punk from behind with a chair on the ramp. JBL then tossed Punk into the ring. Punk tried fighting back, but JBL cut him off and hit a powerbomb. Punk took JBL down with a leg scissors STO. He went for the running knee, but JBL blocked it and locked in a Boston Crab. Punk landed a moonsault and tornado DDT through the steel post. JBL came back and won with another powerbomb.

After the match, JBL continued hit Punk with a chair.

JBL is a despicable human being. He cheap attacked Punk and then continued after the match.

Heat
Match 1. Alicia Fox vs. Charlotte

Match 2. R-Truth vs. X-Pac

Match 3. Shane McMahon vs. Xaiver Woods vs. Wade Barrett vs. Fandango

Match 2. Tyson Kidd vs. William Regal

Match 3. Lucha Dragons vs. The Vaudevillains

Match 4. Braun Strowman vs. Shane McMahon

Match 5. Finn Balor and Hideo Itami vs. Kevin Owens and Baron Corbin
This is a star-studded match. We haven't seen Hideo in a while. Corbin hit Balor with a spine buster. Balor took Owens down with the Pele kick. He later connected with the shotgun dropkick and a sit-out powerbomb. Owens came back with the pop-up powerbomb. Balor hit Corbin with a reverse Bloody Sunday. Itami busted Owens open. Balor then rolled Corbin up to win.

Interesting tag match. I was expecting a big finish, but surprise win works too.

Main Event. Randy Orton vs. Edge
Orton hit a big back suplex. Edge tried fighting back, but Orton halted it with another back suplex. He continued to target Edge's neck. Orton caught Edge off the ropes with a snap slam. Edge hit two running forearms and a sit-out neck breaker. Edge then slammed Orton's head into the mat and bustef him open. Edge hit the Edge-cution, but got a near fall. Orton countered the spear into a DDT. He then hit his second-rope DDT and the RKO, but Edge kicked out! Orton immediately hit a second RKO and won.

Great main event. Orton was in control early, but Edge made it a fight. The Viper struck one time too many. I guess after this feud, we'll never see Rated-RKO.

Recap: This was a great show. Sami Zayn showed a lot of heart. The second tag match was fun.

WWE - May Week 3, Year 2

Match 1. Stardust w/ Goldust vs. Kama Mustafa w/ D'Lo Brown
Kama sent Stardust to the outside. The Brotherhood talked and strategized, but Kama immediately sent him back out. D'Lo distracted the ref, but the ref decided to throw him out. Stardust tried taking advantage, but Kama hit a step-over heel kick and a sit-out gordbust for a near fall. Kama kicked out of Dark Matter, but couldn't kick out of Cosmic Wasteland.

D'Lo might have cost Kama the match. His presence would have helped at least/

Match 2. R-Truth vs. Adam Rose

Match 3. The United Kingdom vs. ????? and ?????
It's been a while since we've seen Neville and Bulldog. Wait... Oh my god. It's Earthquake and Typhoon! What are they doing here? These men are huge. Typhoon slammed Neville down. Neville countered Earthquake's back suplex into a bulldog. They continued their attack, but Bulldog fought back a bit. Earthquake ended it with a huge elbow and the Earthquake splash.

These two made a huge impact, no pun intended, on the SmackDown roster. All teams beware.

Match 4. Sheamus vs. Ryback

Rollins and Xavier went back and forth. Big E came in and hit him with a suplex. Reigns got a near fall on Xavier after a Samoan drop. Big E later plants Ambrose with a sit-out spine buster. Heat
Match 1. Natalya vs. Alicia Fox

Match 2. Dallas Page vs. Wade Barrett

Match 3. Fandango vs. Braun Strowman

Recap: Not a good week for The Shield. I'm still in shock by the debut of Earthquake and Typhoon. They'll be tough for any team to defeat.

NXT - May Week 3, Year 2

Rusev is still looming with the MITB briefcase.

Match 1. Jack Swagger vs. Billy Gunn

Match 2. Lucha Dragons vs. The Dudleyz
Sin Cara wore down D-Von early. D-Von quickly came back with a power slam and back breaker. Bubba then had his turn. Kalisto couldn't take it and entered the ring and attacked Bubba. D-Von hit Kalisto with a spike piledriver. The Dragons hit Bubba with the powerbomb/diving elbow combo. D-Von flapjacked Kalisto onto the top rope and won.

After the match, D-Von pulled out a table and they put Kalisto through it with a 3D.

Why? That post-match attack was unnecessary. The Dudleyz couldn't just be happy with the win?

Match 3. Cesaro and Apollo Crews vs. Tyson Kidd and Samoa Joe
These four can't be separated. Kidd and Crews started. Crews tagged in Cesaro and Kidd wanted no part and tagged in Joe. Joe and Kidd hit Apollo with a snapmare/big boot combo. Joe landed a senton splash and two slams. He then forced Crews to tap with a dragon sleeper.

As long as Kidd and Joe are on the same page, Cesaro is in trouble.

Match 4. Sami Zayn vs. Bam Bam Bigelow

Match 5. Stone Cold vs. Baron Corbin
Wow. Corbin has a huge opportunity in front of him. Austin took Corbin down with a running knee and then stomped on him in the corner. Corbin then sent Austin to the outside. Austin took him down with a Lou Thesz Press and the Stunner, but Baron kicked out. Corbin came back with multiple strikes and the Falcon Arrow. They fought outside again before Corbin won with the End of Days.

Corbin has been impressive recently. He could enter the NXT title picture soon.

NXT TakeOver: Dallas, Year 2

There are a lot of big names on the NXT roster left off this card. Balor, Owens, Wyatt, Lesnar, Austin, Sting... I could keep going.

Match 1. Enzo and Cass vs. The Dudleyz
Cass and Bubba started the match. All four men traded big attacks, trying to get the upper hand. Enzo got the first near fall after a crossbody on D-Von. D-Von hit a headbutt and flapjack. He then spiked Enzo on his head with a piledriver to win.

Wow. I was expecting a more competitive match.

Match 2. Baron Corbin vs. Apollo Crews
This is, I believe, Crews' second match in NXT. On the outside, Crews rolled Corbin and picked him up for a powerbomb. He then hit a tilt-a-whirl slam. Crews blocked a punch and hit a jumping piledriver. He continued with three powerbombs. Corbin landed the End of Days, but Crews kicked out. Crews hit a press slam and standing moonsault. He then hit a standing Shooting Star Press to win.

Nice showing for Crews on the big stage. He took down a top guy in Corbin.

Match 3. American Alpha vs. Lucha Dragons - NXT Tag Team Championship
Kalisto took Gable down with a hurricanrana. Gable slammed Sin Cara down and tagged in Jordan. Sin Cara came back with a double underhook back breaker. Jordan hit Kalisto with two back suplexes. The Dragons hit Gable with a diving elbow/powerbomb combo. Things broke down and the champs landed stereo suplexes. Kalisto hit Gable with a 450 from across the ring! Gable recovered and hit a German suplex with a bridge to win.

There were a few spots where the Dragons could have won. American Alpha are simply the best.

Sami made another comeback and locked in the Koji clutch. Bam Bam squashed Sami in the corner and tossed him around. He then hit a diving headbutt, but Sami kicked out. After the match, Bam Bam went to attack Sami but Zayn ducked and threw him out.

Sami has a lot of heart. He took down a monster of a man in Bam Bam.

Kidd had the upperhand on Cesaro in the early going. Cesaro sent Kidd to the outside and hit a German suplex. Kidd landed a pump handle gut buster. Cesaro came back with a gutwrench slam and a huge uppercut to retain his title.

This is definitely the end of the feud. Cesaro won handedly.

Match 6. Samoa Joe vs. Daniel Bryan
This is a dream match. Bryan had Joe in an arm lock and then locked in a reverse sleeper hold. He continued with a knee to the gut and soccer kick. After a back suplex, Bryan connected with kicks to the chest and head. Bryan rolled out of a hammerlock and had Joe in the Yes Lock. He then hit a diving headbutt. Joe fought back with a back suplex and running senton. Joe placed Bryan on the top, but he blocked him and locked in the Yes Lock a third time. He then hit an airplane spin and won.

What?! Bryan wanted to make Joe tap, but he never did. Bryan gets a nice win.

Main Event. Last Man Standing - Edge vs. Randy Orton - NXT Championship
Orton landed a snap slam and then focused on the neck and head of Edge. Edge countered and landed a diving clothesline. He then pulled out a table. Orton took it away and hit Edge in the gut. Orton kept going with a t-bone suplex onto the table, but Edge kept getting up. Edge set the table up in the corner and then hit a tornado DDT. Orton came back with a back breaker and spinning back suplex. Edge could not respond to the 10 count.

That's not how I thougt the match would end. I was hoping the table would be more of a factor. Congrats to Orton, though.

Match 2. The Dudleyz vs. Lucha Dragons

Match 3. Wade Barrett vs. Rusev

Recap: Wow. WWE definitely topped NXT this week. Who saw CM Punk coming? This is going to be an exciting Year 2.

NXT - April Week 1, Year 2

In this new year of Universe Mode, I'm going to separate NXT and WWE into two separate posts. It'll help me stay organized and publish content more often. Also, it'll also you to follow your favorite brand.

Match 1. Hideo Itami vs. Rusev
Hideo went for a German suplex, but Rusev blocked it. He came back with a tornado hangman over the top. He hit a back suplx on the apron moments later. Itami then hit a hurricanrana on the steel ramp. Rusev missed a kick, but he hit a super belly-to-back suplex. Hideo came back and landed one of his own. Minutes later, Hideo landed a super front suplex and some kicks. Rusev got a near fall after a pump handle neck breaker. He finally connected with his side kick to win.

Great opening match. Rusev is still the MITB holder. When will he cash it in?

Match 2. Elimination - Lucha Dragons vs. American Alpha
After some back and forth, AA got the upperhand on Kalisto. Jordan countered a hurricanrana into a powerbomb. Sin Cara landed a nice back suplex. Jordan eliminated Sin Cara after a German suplex and spinning back suplex. Kalisto hit Jordan with a rolling heel kick and Salida del Sol, but Gable broke up the pin. Gable came in and hit a huge German suplex before winning with a northern lights suplex.

The champs look strong. They work so well together.

Match 3. Emma vs. Asuka vs. Paige
Three very talented women. Asuka pulled out a bat and cracked Emma over the head and back. Emma came back and hit Asuka with the Emma-mite sandwich. Paige came in and hit Emma with the Paige Turner. She then hit Ram-Paige, but Asuka broke it up. Asuka locked Paige in the Asuka Lock. Paige then grabbed a chair and hit Emma. Jeez. Emma took out Paige and Asuka hit Emma with her spin kick to win.

Asuka dominated in her first match since winning back the title. Who's next?

Match 4. Jack Swagger vs. Curtis Axel

Match 5. Braun Stroman vs. X-Pac

Main Event. Brock Lesnar vs. Ken Shamrock
The former champ is likely not happy.

Recap: This was a good first show for Year 2. None of the new Superstars appeared, but they will.
