July Week 4, Year 1

NXT
Match 1. Paige and Natalya vs. Tamina and Summer Rae

Match 2. The Wyatt Family vs. Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady

Match 3. Lucha Dragons vs. The Vaudevillains
The winners could face the Wyatts for the titles. Kalisto hit Aiden with a snap DDT and then wore down Gotch with his speed. Gotch tagged in Aiden, who hit Sin Cara with a vicious powerbomb. They hit the Whirley Dervish, but Kalisto broke up the pin. Kalisto had a couple of near falls on Aiden. The Dragons landed a powerbomb/diving elbow combo to win.

Good tag team match. The crowd doesn't seem invested in either team, though.

Match 4. Braun Strowman vs. Zack Ryder

Match 5. Randy Orton vs. Edge
This is a non-title match. Orton had a big win at TakeOver and Edge defeated Bret Hart last week. Edge was aggressive early with a big boot and back breaker. The match spilled to the outside. After a sit-out powerbomb, Edge hit the Edgecution, but Orton kicked out. Back on the outside, Edge speared Orton through the barricade! Edge ran back into the ring and won by count out.

Oh my. Edge was ruthless throughout the whole match. However, he didn't pin Orton.

Match 6. Kevin Owens vs. Daniel Bryan
There was a bit of back-and-forth action early. Bryan landed his kicks to the chest and head. He almost won with a roll up. Owens got a near fall after a package side slam. He landed a springboard moonsault and pop-up powerbomb, but Bryan kicked out. Owens escaped out of the Yes Lock and threw Bryan out again. Later, Owens escaped from another submission and landed a spinning death valley driver to win.

WWF
Match 1. Xavier Woods w/ Big E vs. R-Truth
The power of positivity.

Match 2. Nikki Bella vs. Stephanie McMahon
The calm before the storm at Battleground? Nikki clotheslined Steph and attempted to leave the match, because she doesn't need to compete, but Steph grabbed her by the hair. Steph is looking very confident in this match. She hit a spine buster, delayed suplex and the Pedigree, but Nikki kicked out. Nikki left the ring, walked up the ramp and was counted out.

The title wasn't on the line. Why would she get counted out?

Match 3. Shane McMahon vs. Adam Rose

Match 4. Elimination - Seth Rollins and Ryback vs. The Usos
Rollins and Ryback worked well wearing down Jimmy, isolating him from his partner. The Usos then had their turn on offense. Rollins hit Jey with the Pedigree, but Jimmy broke up the pin. All four men fought in the ring. The Usos eliminated Ryback with back-to-back top rope splashes. Rollins hit Jey with the Sky Walker and a second-rope senton. He even landed a standing moonsault and Pedigree, but Jimmy kept breaking up the pin. Rollins did everything he could, but was defeated.

Great match. I loved the dynamic between the two teams. The Industry may be my favorite to storyline so far.

Match 5. Stone Cold vs. Kane

Match 6. John Cena and Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H and Batista
This is huge. How many allies does Triple H have? Batista landed vicious kicks to the chest of HBK. Cena came in and took out Batista with a shoulder tackles and a 5 Knuckle Shuffle. He then hit H with the AA, but he kicked out. Michaels missed a plancha on Triple H. Cena hit Batista with a running sit-out powerbomb. Michaels and Triple H fought on the outside. Cena finished the match with an AA on Batista.

Fun main event. Cena is the champ for a reason.

Recap: Is the Industry falling apart as quickly as it came together? NXT is still putting on amazing matches, but the gap is closing.

July Week 3, Year 1

After TakeOver, I'm taking it easy on the NXT roster this week. We're going with the B-squad, like in real life.

NXT
Match 1. Billy Gunn and X-Pac vs. Damien Sandow and Curtis Axel
Axel went for a dropkick on Gunn, but Billy ducked and Axel hit the referee. Pac took Axel down with a neck breaker and then hit a side moonsault. After a back suplex from Gunn to Axel, all four men fought. Sandow and Pac went to the outside as Gunn hit the Fame Asser to win.

Match 2. Natalya vs. Tamina
Nattie is a strong woman, but Tamina was able to overpower her in the early going. She easily tossed her up in the air with wreckless abandon. Nattie slammed Tamina down a few times. She went for another one, but Tamina countered then landed a twisting leg drop. A little while later, Tamina went to the top and landed a big splash, shades of her father, to win.

Match 3. Zack Ryder vs. Fandango

Match 4. The Dudleyz vs. The Ascension

Match 5. Randy Savage vs. William Regal

Match 6. Edge vs. Bret Hart
Edge caught Bret with an Electric Chair drop and flapjack. Bret tried stringing together some moves, but Edge kept cutting him off. Bret was able to kick out of the Edgecution. A frustrated Edge left the ring and tore apart the announce table. Bret almost won with a spike pildriver. Bret beat Edge down on the outside enough that he was almost counted out. Edge connected with the spear, but did not go for a pin. Moments later, Bret went to the top. As he jumped, Edge speared him and won.

That spear looked like it hurt. The Rated-R Superstar notches another big win.

WWF
Match 1. Booker T vs. Sheamus vs. The Miz
The Miz pinned the champ!

Match 2. Stephanie McMahon vs. Naomi
Before the match began, Nikki Bella made her way to the ring and sat at ringside. Let's see if she'll be a distraction. Naomi sent Steph to the outside, but she immediately went back into the ring. A little while later, Steph turned her attention to Nikki. Naomi attacked her from behind. Steph pulled out a baseball bat and hit Naomi for a DQ.

Stephanie wanted no part of Naomi, but she is definitely ready for Nikki. Naomi gets the win, though.

Match 3. Nikki Bella vs. Cameron

Match 4. Adam Rose vs. Tyler Breeze

Match 5. Christian and Chris Jericho vs. Seth Rollins and Ryback
Rollins sent Christian to the outside, which led to The Industry double teaming him. Rollins landed a heel kick and superplex. Christian created separation and tagged in Jericho. Rollins got the tag to Ryback, who went on a rampage. He busted Jericho open. Ryback hit three powerbombs and the meat hook clothesline. He went for a pin, but Jericho grabbed the ropes. Ryback landed Shell Shock and won.

The Industry is taking over SuperStars. They are a force.

Match 6. John Cena vs. Kevin Nash w/ Triple H
This doesn't look good for the champ. Nash tossed Cena out of the ring, and the fight began. Triple H even got involved a bit. Cena fought back and landed a sit-out powerbomb. Nash came back and focused on the right shoulder. Cena was going for the AA, but Triple H distracted him, which allowed Nash to get back control. Cena ducked a punch and hit the AA. Triple H pulled the ref out of the ring. Cena hit a second AA, but H distracted the ref again. It took a third AA, but Cena won.

Cena would have likely won this match earlier, but Triple H had a piece in that.

Recap: I'm upset Edge isn't a bigger part of NXT right now. Cena needs to be the one to take out The Industry. They are ruining WWF SuperStars. One more week before Battleground.

NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable, Year 1

This is the second NXT-only event. Let's see if they can top the first one.

Match 1. Wyatt Family vs. Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady - NXT Tag Team Championship
Wait! Who is that at ringside with the Wyatts? It's...Braun Strowman! This guy is huge. Enzo had the upper hand on Rowan, but Braun distracted him. The Wyatts took advantage. Enzo made the hot tag to Cass. Braun distracted the ref and all hell broke loose as all 4 men were in the ring. The ref had enough and ejected Braun as Cass landed a big boot on Rowan. The Wyatts hit Cass with a 3D, then Rowan landed a body splash to retain.

While he was later ejected, this Braun Strowman guy made all the difference.

Match 2. Paige vs. Brie Bella - NXT Women's Championship
Can Paige retain or will both Bellas be champions? Paige went to pick Brie up, but Brie countered and landed a nice heel kick. Paige wasn't a fan and hit one of her own. Paige hit the Paige Turner, but Brie kicked out. She then hit Ram-Paige and won.

Paige is not ready to give up her title anytime soon. Dominant title defense.

Match 3. Sami Zayn vs. Rusev vs. Bad News Barrett vs. Hideo Itami
The future is now. Barrett worked over Zayn's back on the outside. Hideo threw Rusev shoulder first into the steel post. Barrett hit Zayn with a pump handle slam. Itami landed a tornado DDT. He then caught Rusev with the Winds of Change and the Bull Hammer to win.

Barrett dominated the whole match. NXT, I got some bad news!

Match 4. Kevin Owens vs. Dolph Ziggler - NXT United States Championship
This is Owens' first title defense. He hit a gut buster and second-rope senton. He later hit a buckle bomb. Kevin wants to make this quick. Ziggler blocked a kick and landed a super kick of his own. Owens blocked the Zig Zag and hit the pop-up powerbomb. Ziggler got a couple of near falls. After a third senton, Owens hit a package side slam and a pop-up powerbomb to win.

Owens will be holding that title for a long time. Ziggler tried, but Owens is good.

Match 5. Extreme Rules - Cactus Jack and Sting vs. Bray Wyatt and Baron Corbin
This time, there are no disqualifications. Cactus slammed down Bray and went for a weapon, but Bray cut him off. Sting broke free of Corbin and grabbed a chair. All four men brawled for a few minutes on the outside. Sting drove the steel steps into Corbin's back. Back in the ring, Cactus landed a running knee in the corner and rolled Corbin up to win.

Match 6. Brock Lesnar vs. Daniel Bryan vs. The Rock
The Rock was added because of his triple threat win last week. We took a trip to Suplex City early. They then brawled outside the ring. Brock hit Rock with 3 German suplexes. Bryan caught Brock with his signature kicks. Rock locked Bryan in the Sharpshooter. Brock then landed the F5 on Rock. Bryan landed a suplex on Brock, then hit Knee Plus. He then hit Rock with a northern lights suplex and got the 3 count.

Yes! Yes! Yes! What an upset (or not) win for Bryan!

Main Event. Finn Balor vs. Randy Orton - NXT Championship
A rematch from Money in the Bank. Is Balor a flash in the pan or the real deal? Balor tossed Orton over the top rope to the outside. He then went to the top and landed a huge splash. Orton grabbed a chair. Balor went for a suicide dive, but Orton moved and hit Balor with the chair. Balor landed a few chair shots of his own. A little later, Balor went to the top and as he jumped, Orton popped up and hit the RKO! Finally! But Balor kicked out. Balor hit the Slingblade and shotgun dropkick. Orton rolled out of the way. He stomped all over Balor and connected with a second RKO to win back the title.

Match of the year so far. Balor had so many chances to pin Orton, but the Viper struck.

Recap: I like the team of Cactus Jack and Sting. Two old-school NWA guys. I can't think of a name, though. Owens looked good. Orton and Balor was amazing. The triple threat was good, but not great.

Paige landed a back body drop. Summer countered a suplex and locked in a sleeper hold. She blocked a punch and hit Summer Crush, but Paige kicked out. Paige landed a sit-out powerbomb and the Ram-Paige, but Summer kicked out. Paige finished her off with the Paige Turner.

Good match. Summer showed a lot of heart against the Women's champion.

Match 4. Kidd and Cesaro vs. Lucha Dragons

Match 5. Cactus Jack and Sting vs. Baron Corbin and Bray Wyatt
What a cast of characters in this match. Corbin and Wyatt wore down Sting in the early going. Sting got separation and tagged in Cactus. Sting hit Corbin with a Samoan drop and two atomic drops. Wyatt hit Jack with a running senton and then busted him open with a knee to the face. Cactus kicked out of Sister Abigail. Sting hit Corbin with the Stinger Splash, but got a 2 count. Cactus interfered and the ref called for the DQ.

Wow. Cactus did not leave the ring before the 5 count. A win's a win, though.

Match 6. Brock Lesnar vs. Kevin Owens vs. The Rock
Oh my God! There was a glitch early that made it look like Rock suplexed Vacant. Rock and Owens were wearing down The Beast. They each had their own pin attempt. It didn't last long, though. Brock had Rock in the Brock Lock. Someone brought in a chair. Brock hit 3 German suplexes on Rock. Rock hit Brock with the People's Elbow. Lesnar came back with a huge F5. Lesnar took out Owens with 3 powerbombs. Rock then hit Lesnar with a Rock Bottom and won.

NXT put on another great show. The triple threat was amazing. I would love to see it for the title next time.

WWF
Match 1. Dean Ambrose vs. Batista
The Lunatic Fringe vs. The Animal. Batista hit a tilt-a-whirl side slam and deadlifting powerbomb. Dean came back with a bulldog and spine buster. Batista landed his own spine buster. Dean ducked a punch and hit Dirty Deeds, but Batista kicked out. Batista hit a spear, but Dean kicked out. Batista took Dean down and locked in a modified chicken wing to win.

The Animal hs expanded his arsenal in his later years. Surprised he pulled out a submission.

Despite the loss, McMahon was named the No. 1 Contender to Nikki's title.

Match 3. Savio Vega vs. R-Truth

Match 4. Sheamus and Neville vs. The Miz and Big Show
Show-Miz reunite for one night only. I think Sheamus wants to lose as he tagged in Neville to face Big Show. Miz countered the rolling senton and hit a back suplex before tagging in Big Show. Neville took down Show with an enziguiri. Neville hit Miz with a reverse 450 splash! What?! Show came in and connected with the WMD on Sheamus to win.

Maybe Show-Miz should reunite permanently. As for Sheamus and Neville, maybe once is enough.

Match 5. Chris Jericho vs. Mark Henry

Match 6. John Cena vs. Ryback and Seth Rollins
Man, Triple H wants to destroy Cena. Cena took advantage of a weaker Rollins with the 5 Knuckle Shuffle and AA, but Rollins kicked out. Ryback landed a huge powerbomb. Cena recovered hit a second 5 Knuckle Shuffle, but Rollins blocked the AA attempt. Ryback hit Shell Shock, but Cena kicked out. Rollins busted Cena open with the Pedigree. Cena caught Ryback and Rollins with AAs. Cena accidentally took out the ref. Ryback landed a top-rope splash. A while later, Rollins connected with a super kick and got the win.

The Industry came out on top tonight. Cena will not give up, though.

Recap: After looking at the rosters, and with no plan to expand to a third roster, I will be adding a minor show to the lineup, It will begin after SummerSlam. Next up, TakeOver: Unstoppable.

Sneaky Sandow. Good triple threat.

Two of the competitors from the MITB ladder match.

Match 6. Daniel Bryan vs. Edge
Two more Superstars from the ladder match. Bryan landed two knees to the gut and then his signature kicks. Bryan had him in the Yes Lock, but Edge was too close to the ropes. Bryan kicked out of the Edge-O-Matic and hit a diving elbow drop. Edge busted Bryan open with a sidewinder and connected with the spear, but Bryan powered out. Edge dodged a diving dropkick and rolled Bryan up to win.

WWF
Match 1. Sheamus vs. Neville vs. The Miz
The new IC champ is put to the test early. Sheamus and Neville were working together easrly and often. Miz caught a Neville with a big boot. Sheamus hit Miz wth a rolling senton and then targeted Neville. Neville caught Miz with a moonsault, then a standing 450 splash. Sheamus landed White Noise on Miz. Neville threw Sheamus out of the ring and hit Miz with the Red Arrow to win.

The smallest man in the match gets a big win. Sheamus did most of the work. The champ wasn't pinned.

Match 2. The New Day vs. The Usos

Match 3. Nikki Bella vs. Stephanie McMahon
Does McMahon still have it? Steph connected with a dropkick and hard slap right away. Nikki came back with a dropkick of her own. Steph landed a spine buster, shades of her husband, Triple H. She hit the Pedigree, but Nikki kicked out. Nikki hit the Bella Buster, but got a 2 count. Steph kicked out of an Alabama Slam. She hit a second spine buster and Pedigree to win.

The Million Dollar Princess still has it. She held her own against the Divas champion.

Match 4. Dallas Page vs. Adam Rose

Match 5. Ryback and Seth Rollins vs. Rikishi and Haku
Second time's the charm? Nope.

Match 6. Triple H vs. John Cena
Just noticed that their respective partners fought earlier. Cena landed a huge superplex and then the 5 Knuckle Shuffle. Moments later, Cena caught H with the AA, but got a 2 count. A little later, he hit a second 5 Knuckle Shuffle. H blocked the AA. Cena landed a belly-to-belly suplex. He was going for a suplex, but H kicked Cena below the belt and got himself disqualified.

Interesting tactic by Triple H. I guess The Game wasn't looking for the win tonight.

Recap: We finally had some rivalry matches. About time. Kidd/Cesaro vs. Dudleyz was great. Stephanie looked good in her first match in a while.

MONEY IN THE BANK, Year 1

There are six title matches and the MITB ladder match. It is star-studded tonight.

Match 1. Ryback vs. Sheamus - Intercontinental Championship
The "muscle" of The Industry wants to retain his title. Sheamus had Ryback on the outside for a moment. He landed a sidewalk slam and got a near fall. Back on the outside, Sheamus landed a deadlift suplex. He hit White Noise, but Ryback hit a clothesline and spine buster. He then hit the meat hook clothesline. Ryback dodged the Brogue Kick and hit Shell Shock, but Sheamus kicked out! Sheamus caught Ryback off the ropes with an Irish Curse back breaker and won.

These two brutes had a great match. Sheamus might be on The Industry's bad side now.

Match 2. The Wyatt Family vs. The Vaudevillains - NXT Tag Team Championship
Harper hit a back breaker and his gator roll to start the match. Gotch took down Rowan and used his back to do a one-arm push up. Rowan was not happy with that. Aiden hit Harper with a reverse DDT and got a 2 count. He then hit a Complete Shot and got another 2. They hit the Whirley Dervish, but Rowan broke up the pin. The champs hit Gotch with the 3D and won.

The Vaudevillains came so close to winning the titles.

Match 3. Prime Time Players vs. The Usos - WWF Tag Team Championship
Let's see if they can top the previous match. Titus hit Jey with a squating suplex and a dead lift gut wrench slam. Jimmy slammed Titus down and Jey landed a huge splash onto him. Young and O'Neil hit Jey with a back breaker/diving elbow combo. Jey came back with two diving headbutts. Darren landed a belly-to-belly and leg drop/eblow drop combo on Jimmy to retain.

Good match, but the first one was way more exciting.

Match 4. Bo Dallas vs. Kevin Owens - United States Championship
Owens caught Bo with a sleeper suplex. Bo blocked a German suplex and sent Owens into the corner. He landed a Bo-dog and back breaker. Owens came back with some punches and a package side slam. Owens went for a senton splash, but Bo moved and hit another Bo-dog. He continued with some vicious attacks. Owens cut him off with a suplex. Both men got to their feet. Owens got the upper hand. He landed a buckle bomb and then a pop-up powerbomb to win.

Great match. Bo showed a ruthless side of himself in this match. Owens had a little more in the tank.

Match 5. John Cena vs. Seth Rollins - World Championship
Can Rollins make it 1-1 for The Industry tonight? Rollins went for the Phoenix Splash, but Cena moved out of the way. Cena wore down Rollins on the outside and then hit a snap suplex. Cena then hit a 5 Knuckle Shuffle and AA, but Rollins kicked out at 2. Rollins landed a diving cross body. Cena made his comeback and hit a second AA, but Rollins kicked out again. Rollins put Cena in the tree of woe and hit the double foot stomp. After some back-and-forth action, Cena hit his flipping sunset powerbomb and won.

Wow. Amazing match. So. Many. Finishers. Cena pulls out the victory again.

Match 6. Randy Orton vs. Finn Balor - NXT Championship
Will we finally see an RKO from Orton? Orton landed a back suplex and hard Irish whip. Balor came back with a northern lights suplex and dropkick to the side of Orton's head. He then hit a sit-out powerbomb and shotgun dropkick. He continued with the hesitation dropkick in the corner, but Orton was able to kick out. The match spilled to the outside when Balor took apart the announce table. Back in the ring, Balor landed a back suplex and Coup de Grace to win the NXT title.

The Demon is on top of NXT. Another great match. Maybe Orton needs to unleash the RKO.

Main Event. NXT MITB Ladder Match - Rusev vs. Zayn vs. Bryan vs. Edge vs. Itami vs. Lesnar
My money's on The Ultimate Opportunist Edge. Zayn took down Edge and grabbed a chair. He wedged it into the corner and Lesnar threw Rusev head-first into it. Lesnar hit Rusev with a super double underhook slam. Rusev came back and hit a super German suplex. Edge then went after Lesar. Not a good idea. Hideo took out Zayn and Bryan with the ladder, and then began to climb. Bryan almost had the briefcase, but Zayn stopped him. Lesnar threw in the steel steps. Rusev threw Edge out of the ring, and was the only one left. He set up a ladder and pulled down the briefcase.

That was a car crash. A lot of the match was spent outside the ring. Rusev took advantage of that.

Recap: What a great show. The World title match was amazing. Owens/Dallas was good, too. The tag matches weren't bad, either.

Tuesday, November 24, 2015

Good opportunity for Rikishi and Haku. Rikishi hit a super kick and followed it up with a leg drop on Titus. Haku hit Darren with a piledriver. Austin focused on the neck area of Kane. Kane landed a running face smash and then sent Austin to the outside. Kane showed some of his athleticism as he connected with an enziguiri. A bloody Austin hit the Lou Thesz Press and a Stunner, but Kane kicked out. Kane hit a sidewalk slam and won.

Wow. Nice win for the Big Red Machine. Maybe it's the old school attire.

Match 6. 6-man tag - Cena, Reigns and Ambrose vs. Triple H, Rollins and Ryback
What a main event! Triple H calls his group "The Industry." Nice name. The Industry then took their time hurting Ambrose on the outside. Ryback hit Dean with the backpack stunner and the meat hook clothesline. Dean tagged in Reigns, who hit H with the Superman punch. Cena rolled away of the Phoenix Splash and then kicked out of the Pedigree. Reigns speared Rollins. Cena and H hit their finishers. Rollins busted Cena open with the Curb Stomp! Ryback pinned Cena with a press slam and mat hook clothesline.

Oh. My. God. What a main event! So much back and forth. The Industry are here to stay.

Recap: I'm still amazed at that 6-man tag. Zayn/Balor vs. Corbin/Owens was good, too.

June Week 1, Year 1

NXT
Match 1. The Wyatt Family vs. ????? and ?????
The Wyatts have run through every tag team put in front of them. So, they issued an open challenge. Who will accept. Wait! That pyro. It's The Dudley Boyz! The match broke down and all four men fought in the ring. The Wyatts hit Bubba with the 3D, but Bubba kicked out. Bubba busted Rowan open with punches and hit the Bubba Cutter, but Harper broke it up. A bloody D-Von hit Rowan with Saving Grace and won.

Wow. That was a fight. And it was only the first match.

Match 2. Natalya vs. Emma
Whoa! Wasn't expecting that.

Match 3. Paige vs. Summer Rae

Match 4. Sami Zayn vs. Baron Corbin
Corbin used his strength early, but Zayn got the upper hand with his speed. Zayn caught Corbin with two inverted DDTs and the Blue Thunder Bomb, but Corbin kicked out. Zayn threw Corbin out of the ring and hit a flipping senton over the top. Corbin focused on the head and neck area of Zayn. Zayn hit a second Blue Thunder Bomb, but Corbin kicked out and hit the End of Days to win.

Corbin pulled that out of nowhere. Zayn hit two powerbombs and still couldn't win.

Match 5. Brock Lesnar vs. Bo Dallas
What?! That is Bo's second win over Brock in a month.

Match 6. Randy Orton vs. Edge
Former team Rated-RKO face each other. Orton hit a snap DDT. Edge came back with the Edge-O-Matic. Edge blocked Orton and landed a diving cross body. Orton hit a DDT onto the apron. After a second snap DDT, Orton stomped all over Edge and got the win.

Another underwhelming finish to a Randy Orton match. Interesting. No RKOs yet.

WWF
Match 1. Prime Time Players vs. Gold and Stardust

Match 2. The Usos vs. The New Day

Match 3. Nikki Bella vs. Alicia Fox

Match 4. The Miz vs. Chris Jericho
The veteran Jericho took Miz down with an arm drag and then hit a back suplex. Jericho countered a headlock and locked in a Boston Crab. The two fought outside for a moment. Back in the ring, Jericho connected with the Codebreaker and won.

Easy win for Jericho.

Match 5. Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins and Ryback
Dean and Roman take on Triple H's boys. Rollins landed a full nelson suplex on Reigns. Rollins hit Dean with a German suplex and the Sky Walker. Ryback hit Dean with the Buckle Bomb. Dean kicked out of the Pedigree. Ryback hit Reigns with a backpack stunner and meat hook clothesline. He then hit Shell Shock and won.

Great win for Ryback and Rollins. The IC champ and top World title contender continue to roll.

Match 6. John Cena vs. Triple H
Cena landed a snap DDT. He went to the second rope for a ax handle, but Triple H moved and Cena hit the ref. H then took the match to the outside. He landed a sidewalk slam. Back in the ring, Cena came back with a sit-out powerbomb, DDT and 5 Knuckle Shuffle. He hit the AA, but H kicked out. Cena hit another powerbomb and won with a second AA.

Another good match between these two. This feud will continue for a couple of months.

Recap: Another good week. Rollins/Ryback will be a dangerous pairing. Bo Dallas better watch out for Brock. Orton is boring me.

WWF PAYBACK, Year 1

WWF Superstars' second PPV. Let's see how this one goes.

Match 1. Ryback vs. Ultimate Warrior - Intercontinental Championship
Warrior defeated Ryback a couple of weeks ago. Can he do it again? Warrior tried getting on offense, but Ryback kept countering everything. He then landed a huge powerbomb. Warrior kicked out of Shell Shock. Warrior hit the press slam and running splash, but Rybac kicked out at the last second. Warrior hit back-to-back press slams. Ryback broke free and hit the Shell Shock to retain.

What an opening match. Warrior did everything he could, but it wasn't enough. I can't wait for the rematch.

Match 2. Nikki Bella vs. Naomi - Divas Championship
Nikki landed a suplex and then a sit-out face buster, but Naomi kicked out. Naomi landed a springboard cross body splash. Nikki kicked out of the Rear View. Nikki kicked out of a split-legged moonsault and head scissors DDT. Nikki retained after hitting Naomi with a forearm smash.

Decent match that picked up towards the end. Who's next for Nikki?

Match 3. Prime Time Players vs. The Usos - WWF Tag Team Championship
I still can't tell the Usos apart. Titus hit Jimmy with a big boot and full nelson slam. Darren came in, but Jimmy hit a corkscrew splash and tagged in Jey. Darren kicked out of a super kick from Jey. The Usos then connected with a double suplex. Choas ensued as all four men battled in the ring. Jey superplexed Titus from the top to the outside floor! Titus and Darren hit Jimmy with a back breaker/diving elbow combo to win.

Wow. These two teams pulled out all of the stops. I thought the Usos had it. Good match.

Match 4. Neville vs. The Miz vs. British Bulldog vs. Rick Rude
The winner could easily be the No. 1 contender for the IC title. Rude wore down Neville on the outside in the early going. Miz pulled out a sledgehammer, but Bulldog took it away. Miz hit the front headlock driver. Bulldog was on offense, but Miz ducked a punch and hit the Skull Crushing Finale to win.

Miz took advantage of Neville and Rude fighting on the outside. Ryback vs. Miz?

Match 5. Mark Henry vs. Sheamus
This is going to be a brawl. Sheamus connected with a headbutt and then lifted Henry up from the ground and suplexed him. They then to the outside and fought near the announce table. Back in the ring, Henry landed a slam and headbutts, shades of the Junkyard Dog. Henry then hit the World's Strongest Slam to win.

Match 6. Triple H vs. Stone Cold
Two of the best. Triple H hit a knee smash and a spike piledriver. Austin came back with the Lou Thesz Press and punches. He continued with a clothesline and Stunner, but H kicked out. Austin left the ring, but Triple H threw Austin into the apron multiple times. Back in the ring, Austin stomped on H and hit a second Thesz Press to win.

A little underwhelming finish. I hope this isn't the last we see of these two.

Main Event. John Cena vs. Seth Rollins - World Heavyweight Championship
After some back-and-forth action, Cena built momentum with a flipping sunset powerbomb and inverted DDT. Rollins created separation and grabbed a chair. Cena pulled it away and hit a back suplex. Cena then hit the AA, but Rollins kicked out. Rollins connected with a superkick and Pedigree, but Cena kicked out twice. Rollins went for the chair, but Cena blocked it. He hit a 5 Knuckle Shuffle and an AA onto the chair to retain.

Good finishing sequence. I wanted to see Rollins at least connect with the chair.

Recap: There were some good title matches. Who's next for John Cena? The tag match might be match of the night.

May Week 4, Year 1

NXT
Match 1. Edge vs. Rusev

Match 2. Paige vs. Emma vs. Natalya
Emma countered a slam and landed a German suplex. Natty then hit Emma with one. The three women then fought outside the ring. Paige hit Natty with the Paige Turner, but Emma was there to break up the pin. Paige continued her dominance with a Ram-Paige and a second Paige Turner. Emam took out Natty with a sit-out powerbomb. Paige hit a back suplex and pinned Emma to win.

Great three-way between some of the best women on the roster. Paige is the champion for a reason.

Match 3. Lucha Dragons vs. The Vaudevillains

Match 4. Elimination - Wyatt Family vs. Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady
There was a lot of back-and-forth action in the first few minutes. Enzo and Cass eliminated Harper with their double-team top-rope splash. Enzo and Cass pulled out all the stops, but Rowan kept kicking out. Enzo landed a second-rope tornado DDT, busting Rowan open and won.

Enzo and Cass defeat the champs. Is a title shot in their future?

Match 5. Dolph Ziggler w/ Zack Ryder vs. Cesaro w/ Tyson Kidd
Is this the first appearance of Cesaro and Kidd? Cesaro landed a deadlifting gut wrench and a deadlift suplex. Ziggler tried making a comeback, but Cesaro threw Ziggler up in the air and connected with the uppercut. Tyson distracted Ziggler, Cesaro landed a German suplex and Ryder pulled the ref out. Ziggler hit the heartstopper elbows. Ziggler busted Cesaro open with a jumping DDT. Kidd distracted Ziggler again, which allowed Cesaro to hit a second uppercut and win.

Wow. Great match. I wonder how it would have went without Kidd or Ryder. Maybe we'll see.

Match 6. Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens
I had a tough time simulating this match.

WWF
Match 1. Seth Rollins and Ryback vs. Kama Mustafa and D'Lo Brown
Triple H has teamed with Rollins and was ringside with Ryback. Interesting. The Nation make their debut tonight. Rollins took the majority of punishment before hitting an STO and tagging in Ryback. Kama made the hot tag to D'Lo. He hit Rollins with a tilt-a-whirl side slam and won.

Whoa. I was not expecting The Nation to win that match. What an upset!

Match 2. Adam Rose vs. R-Truth

Match 3. Nikki Bella vs. Naomi

Match 4. Elimination - Prime Time Players vs. New Day

Match 5. Roman Reigns vs. Sheamus vs. Kevin Nash
Nash hit Reigns with a big boot and then brought Sheamus to the outside. They all fought on the outside for a bit. Back in the ring, Sheamus hit Reigns with the Irish Curse. Roman busted Sheamus open with the Superman punch. Sheamus took out Nash with the Brogue Kick. Roman caught Sheams with another Superman punch to win.

Match 6. John Cena vs. Kane
Kane rocking the old school attire. Cena landed a super back suplex. He then hit the 5 Knuckle Shuffle. Kane left the ring and pulled out a ladder. Cena countered and hit the AA, but Kane kicked out. Cena ducked a clothesline and hit a belly-to-belly on the steps and won.

Average main event. The champ wins again.

Recap: That was the go-home show for Payback. I wonder who is going to challenge for the titles.

May Week 3, Year 1

NXT
Match 1. Edge vs. Randy Savage vs. Jake Roberts

Match 2. Elimination - The Vaudevillains vs. Lucha Dragons

Match 3. Paige vs. Tamina

Match 4. Hideo Itami vs. Baron Corbin
Itami threw Corbin into the corner and left the ring. He grabbed a bat and hit Corbin in the head with it. He continued with a couple of hurricanranas and won with a GTS on the outside.

This was all Hideo. Corbin had no answer for him.

Match 5. 4-Way - Bo Dallas vs. Finn Balor vs. Randy Orton vs. Brock Lesnar
Non-title match. This is going to be good. Balor went after Lesnar at the beginning. Bo took Orton down with a bat and hit him in the ribs with it. Bo and Orton fought on the outside. Balor hit Lesnar with a double gut buster and a diving elbow drop. He then hit the shotgun dropkick. Balor busted Lesnar open with a double knee face buster. That might have angered the beast as he hit 3 German suplexes. Orton snuck in and hit Lesnar with an RKO, but he kicked out. Lesnar hit Orton with an F5, but Bo went over and almost got the win. Balor hit Lesnar with a diving elbow and got the win.

Great match. The top 3 contenders and the champ. Balor must be next for a title shot.

Match 6. Kevin Owens vs. Daniel Bryan
There was a lot of back-and-forth action in the early going. Bryan took Owens down with a kick to the knee and followed it up with multiple kicks to the chest and head. He then tossed Owens up and caught him in the Yes Lock on the way down. Owens went to the top and landed a senton bomb. He later hit a package neck breaker and the cannonball splash. Bryan made his comeback and landed more kicks. Owens landed a sick looking suplex, dropping Bryan on his head and neck and then hit a springboard moonsault. Bryan kicked out of the pop-up powerbomb. Bryan won after a northern lights suplex.

Wow. This is definitely a future main event for NXT. A lot of potential in this brand.

WWF
Match 1. Mark Henry vs. Ultimate Warrior

Match 2. Elimination - Prime Time Players vs. The New Day

Match 3. Nikki Bella vs. Layla

Match 4. Sheamus vs. Brian Pillman
I have no idea what to expect from these two. Sheamus took his turn on offense after an elbow smash and big boot. He continued with a hip throw and White Noise. Pillman landed a back suplex and a reverse DDT. Sheamus hit the Celtic Cross and won.

Good match. Nothing too extraordinary.

Match 5. Dean Ambrose vs. Batista
The two began with a collar and elbow tie up. Weird. The match then spilled to the outside. Dean hit a front headlock driver and a diving elbow. After a headlock, Batista landed a belly-to-belly suplex and won.

Surprised Dean didn't put up more of a fight. Interesting.

Match 6. John Cena and ????? vs.Triple H and Seth Rollins
Cena lost to both of these men on Superstars. Who will be his partner to even the odds? It's...Stone Cold! H landed a back body drop and gut buster on Cena. Cena/Austin hit Rollins with a double leg sweep. Cena landed the 5 Knuckle Shuffle and AA, but Rollins kicked out. Rollins hit the Pedigree, but Austin broke up the pin. Cena connected with the top-rope leg drop and a second AA to win.

Not as long as I thought it would be. It was mostly Cena/Rollins in this match.

Recap: There were a lot of one-sided matches this week. I'm still waiting on some cut scenes or rivalry development. Then again, it's still pretty early in my Universe.

Sandow and Gunn were on the outside. Shamrock hit Regal with a hurricanrana, left the ring and grabbed a chair. All four men were then on the outside. They finally went back into the ring. Shamrock won with a sleeper hold on a bloody Billy Gunn.

The midcard is deep on NXT.

Match 3. Paige vs. Tamina

Match 4. Sami Zayn vs. Hideo Itami vs. Rusev

Match 5. Dolph Ziggler and Bo Dallas vs. Finn Balor and Brock Lesnar
Whoa! Can these teams coexist? Balor caught Bo with a Complete Shot at the opening bell. Lesnar and Ziggler fought on the outside. Lesnar hit Ziggler with a German suplex. Suplex City! He later caught Zigs off the ropes with a powerslam. He came back with the Heartstopper elbows. Bo won with a judo throw on Lesnar.

Bo just keeps winning. Lesnar is not going to be happy tomorrow.

Match 6. Edge vs. Daniel Bryan
Bryan hit a snap DDT and countered a flapjack into an airplane spin. Bryan got another counter and landed his signature kicks. He locked in the Yes Lock, but Edge broke free. This is going to be a big challenge for Neville. Neville took him down with a hurricanrana. Henry took control with multiple kicks and a back suplex. Neville landed a standing corkscrew splash. He went for the Red Arrow, but Henry caught him in the World's Strongest Slam and won.

Nice finish. Another member to the Hall of Pain.

Match 3. The Usos vs. Rikishi and Haku
Father vs. sons. Father knows best.

Match 4. Ric Flair vs. Christian

Match 5. Ryback vs. Ultimate Warrior
Why is Triple H at ringside? Warrior hit a shoulder breaker and power slam. He countered a slam and landed a military press. Triple H jumped onto the apron and distracted Warrior. Ryback took advantage and hit three powerbombs and the meat hook clothesline. Warrior hit his finish, but H distracted the ref. Despite that, Warrior hit a second body splash and got the win.

What is Triple H's association with Ryback?

Match 6. John Cena vs. Seth Rollins
Seth left the ring and pulled out a kendo stick. He then grabbed a table, but was unable to use it. Cena hit the AA on the outside, but Seth kicked out. Cena kicked out of the Pedigree. Rollins went to the top, landed a 450 splash to Cena on the outside and he still kicked out. Super Cena! Seth hit a third Pedigree, but Cena kicked out again. He hit yet another Pedigree and won.

God damn! What a match. Cena would not give up.

Recap: The NXT tag match was good. Edge and Bryan showed us a glimpse of what they can do. Seth Rollins did everything he could to beat Cena.

The two were tied up against the ropes. The ref separated them, but Bray slapped Sting. Bray focused on the head and neck area. Sting caught Bray with a guillotine over the second rope. Sting picked up Bray and hit the Tombstone Piledriver! What?! Sting hit 3 clotheslines and the Stinger Splash. Bray hit Sister Abigail, but Sting kicked out. He hit a second one and got the win.

Shane grabbed a bat as Bulldog and Bam Bam fought each other. Shane hit them both and began his turn on offense. The match then spilled to the outside. Back in the ring, Bam Bam took control. After fending off both Shane and Bulldog, Bam Bam hit Bulldog with a top rope splash and won.

A clash of styles here. Barrett caught Cactus with a sit-out spine buster. He then hit a sit-out powerbomb. Barrett kicked Jack's head into the steel post. He later connected with the Bull Hammer to win.
