September Week 3, Year 1

NXT
Match 1. Natalya vs. Tamina

Match 2. Kalisto vs. Tyson Kidd
Will Kidd use some underhanded tactics? Kalisto had the upper hand for the first few minutes. He landed a rolling heel kick and soccer kick to the back. He then hit Salida del Sol, but Kidd kicked out. Kidd connected with a missile dropkick and locked in the Dungeon Lock. Kalisto busted Kidd open, but Kidd popped up and locked in the Sharpshooter. After another submission attempt, he hit Code Blue to win.

Good match from these two. They work well together and pulled out all the stops.

Match 3. Enzo and Cass vs. The Ascension
Konnor and Viktor beat down Enzo in the early going. Konnor landed a powerbomb from the corner. Enzo made the hot tag to Cass and immediately splashed down on Konnor. All hell broke loose as the four men battled in the ring. Viktor came in and wore down Cass on the outside. Cass connected with a big boot and got a near fall. After three power slams, Cass hit the Staten Island side slam and won.

Match 4. Billy Gunn, X-Pac and Zack Ryder vs. The Wyatt Family

Match 5. Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt
This is 4 wins in a row for Balor.

Match 6. Kevin Owens vs. Cactus Jack
There was a bit of mat wrestling before the match spilled to the outside. Jack sent Owens into the corner and hit his running knee and almost won. He hit the spike piledriver, but Owens kicked out again. Owens broke free of the Mandible Claw, but Cactus was right on top of him to continue the fight. He landed a second piledriver and Owens kicked out. Owens countered the DDT and hit the pop-up powerbomb, but got a 2 count. It took a third piledriver to put Owens away.

Cactus picks up another win to keep himself in the US title contender conversation.

WWF
Match 1. The Usos vs. The Nation

Match 2. 6-man Battle Royal - Neville vs. The Miz vs. Breeze vs. Ryback vs. Christian vs. Booker
The winner will face Sheamus for the IC title at NoC. Christian and Miz dodged early eliminations. Breeze hit Christian with a huge diving leg drop and then eliminated him. Breeze then busted Ryback open with right hands. After two attempts, Neville landed a hurricanrana and sent Miz over the top. Breeze then super kicked Ryback out of the ring. Booker, Neville and Breeze battled it out for a while. Neville kicked Booker off the apron and eliminated him. Breeze landed a diving elbow and a DDT. A bloody Neville dropkicked Breeze over the top and won.

A great little Battle Royal. I would have been okay with any man winning.

Match 3. Nikki Bella vs. Stephanie McMahon
Nikki sent Steph to the outside and fought for a little. Steph took control and landed a huge powerbomb. Nikki came back with the Bella Buster and got a near fall. Steph hit a spine buster, suplex and Pedigree, but Nikki kicked out. Nikki tried mounting a comeback, but Steph cut her off and hit a second Pedigree to win.

This is the momentum Stephanie needed as she gets another (and last?) title shot.

Match 4. Chris Jericho vs. Ric Flair

Match 5. Shawn Michaels vs. Batista
Michaels kept Batista grounded early. Batista landed a back suplex and HBK came back with a back breaker. Batista landed a suplex and huge kicks to the gut. Michaels sent Batista to the outside. Someone ran into the ring and hit Michaels from behind with a chair. Wait! It's...Kurt Angle! He hit Michaels three more times before leaving the ring. Batista hit the Batista Bomb. HBK came back with the Sweet Chin Music and won with a diving elbow drop.

What?! What is Kurt Angle doing here and why did he target Michaels?

Match 6. John Cena vs. Big Show
Cena looked strong as he gets ready for his title shot.

Heat
Match 1. R-Truth vs. Adam Rose

Match 2. Stardust vs. Jey Uso

Match 3. Neville vs. Savio Vega

Recap: Another great week. Kurt Angle's debut highlights this week. Cactus Jack and Kevin Owens feud is an amazing one. Steph/Nikki is a close second, surprisingly.
