September Week 1, Year 1

That was a great first-half. The second half is going to be even better.

NXT
Match 1. Bo Dallas vs. Dolph Ziggler

Match 2. Lucha Dragons vs. Tyson Kidd and Cesaro
Kidd and Cesaro attacked the Dragons after the match.

Match 3. Asuka vs. Summer Rae
Summer locked Asuka in a hammer lock early. Asuka broke free and landed about 10-15 different kicks. Summer landed a headlock takedown and big boot. Asuka landed more kicks. Summer left the ring, pulled out a lead pipe and got herself DQ'd.

Asuka was on her way to win this match, but Summer wasn't going to get pinned.

Match 4. Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt
Two in a row for Finn.

Match 5. Kevin Owens vs. Cactus Jack - United States Championship
Jack won at SummerSlam. Can he do it again tonight? Owens hit a gut buster and senton splash. He later hit a pump handle neck breaker and the cannonball splash. Cactus kicked out and bit the forehead of Owens. Owens hit a Samoan drop and pop-up powerbomb, but Jack kicked out. Cactus got a near fall after a spike piledriver. Owens hit the package side slam and got the win.

Good match. Owens takes care of Cactus Jack, now onto the next challenge.

Match 6. Hideo Itami and Sami Zayn vs. Baron Corbin and Rusev
It's been a while for these guys. Rusev hit Hideo with a one-arm side slam. Zayn hit Corbin with a running dropkick and sit-out slam. He then hit the Blue Thunder Bomb, but Corbin kicked out. After a submission attempt, Zayn continued with a back stabber from the corner. Hideo busted Corbin open with the hesitation dropkick in the corner and got a near fall. Corbin and Hideo countered each other's finishers. After many, many near falls, Corbin hit Zayn with the End of Days to win.

Excellent tag team match. Zayn and Itami looked good in defeat.

WWF
Match 1. Booker T vs. Tyler Breeze w/ Sensational Sherri
Wow. Breeze and Sherri? Breeze landed a soccer kick to the back and the Supermodel kick moments later. Booker was in control, but Sherri jumped up on the apron and distracted Booker. Breeze took advantage and hit the Beauty Shot to win.

Maybe Breeze found the winning formula with Sherri at ringside.

Match 2. New Day vs. The Usos

Match 3. Nikki Bella vs. Naomi
Stephanie McMahon attacked Nikki from behind. Naomi went to the outside, but Nikki recovered and landed a DDT. Naomi hit a jaw breaker and threw her into the ring to get the match officially started. Nikki kicked out of a split-legged moonsault and the Rear End. Naomi ended the match by spiking Nikki's head into the mat with a head scissors.

After the match, Stephanie came out and signaled she still wants Nikki's title.

Match 4. Prime Time Players vs. Gold and Stardust

Match 5. The Industry vs. The Nation
Whoa! Big win for The Nation

Match 6. Triple H vs. John Cena
These two can't be 100 percent after SummerSlam. Since the opening bell, Triple H would not give Cena a chance to breathe. He landed punches, suplexes, and side slams. He hit the spine buster and Pedigree, but Cena was able to kick out. He went for a shoulder tackle, but H countered it and busted him open with a knee smash. A bloody John Cena caught Trips with the AA and won.

Even if it wasn't as brutal as the title match, it was still good. H was in control for most of it.

Heat
Match 1. Santino Marella vs. Heath Slater

Match 2. Curtis Axel vs. Bo Dallas

Match 3. Fandango vs. Jack Swagger

Recap: Great first week following SummerSlam. The US title match was good, and the Triple H/Cena match was good, too.
