Rollins brought it to Jericho. That curb stomp is dangerous.

Cactus Jack is the NEW US champion. He was in control for most of the match, too.

Steph took Nikki down with a dropkick and then taunted her with a crotch chop. Nikki sent Steph to the outside and threw her into the steel post. Steph came back with a suplex on the floor. Back in the ring, Steph landed a spine buster and the Pedigree to win the Divas title.

Whoa! Two matches, two new champions. What happened to Nikki?

Sheamus hit a spine buster and threw Neville into the steel steps. Back in the ring, he hit the Irish Curse back breaker and got a 2 count. He later hit the Brogue Kick to retain the IC title.

Neville had a couple of moments, but Sheamus was too strong. That kick is a dangerous one.

Match 4. Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt
This is the only non-title match. The winner will likely be the No. 1 contender for the NXT title. Bray hit a float-over DDT at the opening bell. Balor came back with a Codebreaker. Both men using big moves early. Balor landed two modified STOs. Bray had Balor on the top and hit a super fall away slam. Balor came back with the shotgun dropkick and then hit another one to a seated Wyatt. He connected with the GTS and won with the Coup de Gace.

Great match. With the win, Balor is in line for a title shot.

Match 5. Extreme Rules - The Wyatt Family vs. The Dudleyz - NXT Tag Team Championship
Harper left the ring and went for a weapon, but D-Von cut him off. Bubba hit a sidewalk slam on Rowan and kicked him a few times before grabbing a....table. Yepp. He set the table up in the corner and powerbombed Rowan through it. D-Von and Harper fought on the outside. Bubba landed the Bubba Bomb and got a near fall. All four men were back in the ring. Bubba then hit Harper with the Bubba Cutter and won.

The Dudleyz are the new NXT tag champs! This was their environment. It's a night of title changes.

Orton had a chance after the RKO, but couldn't capitalize. The beast still reigns.

Main Event. Hell in a Cell - Triple H vs. John Cena - WWF World Heavyweight Championship
The final match in their brutal rivalry. Trips blocked a chair shot, but Cena came back with the 5 Knuckle Shuffle. He continued his offense by tossing Triple H up in the air and caught him with the AA on the way down, but H kicked out. Cena busted H open with the chair. Cena seems desperate in this match. He landed a sit-out powerbomb and gutwrench slam. He hit a superplex and a second 5 Knuckle Shuffle. He then landed a second and third AA a little later and got a 2 count. A bloody Triple H hit a spine buster and Pedigree, but Cena kicked out this time. H then had his turn with the chair. Cena connected with a fourth 5 Knuckle Shuffle and won.

Wow. Cena showed another side of himself in this match. He was aggressive early and often.

Typical squash match for the champion.

Very opportunistic for Dolph. He picked up a big win against two quality opponents.

There was a collar-and-elbow tie up that Paige won. Tamina came back with a hard Irish whip in the corner and a back suplex. The two went back and forth for a bit before Paige hit the Paige Turner, but got a near fall. Paige then DDT'd Tamina head-first onto the apron and fought on the outside. Surprisingly, this was all Paige. Tamina landed some moves, but nothing significant.

Warrior then left the ring and tossed the steel steps into the ring. Ryback took them away and hit Warrior in the face. Show got a near fall on Henry after a spear. Ryback hit Henry with Shell Shock. Warrior won after hitting Show with a press slam.

This was four giants trying to take each other out. Warrior was able to come out top.

Steph attacked Nikki before the match.

Match 5. Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle
Kurt had the advantage over Michaels early. He took him down with an arm wrench. Michaels rolled to the outside. Angle threw him into the steel post. Michaels came back and threw Angle into the steps and then hit him in the gut with a chair for the DQ.

I think Angle frustrated Michaels in the early bout, and HBK just wanted to get revenge.

Cena came out more aggressive than usual. Trips created some separation and pulled out a baseball bat. H swung the bat and hit Cena in the back a couple of times. Cena countered the spine buster. A great little Battle Royal. I would have been okay with any man winning.

Nikki sent Steph to the outside and fought for a little. Steph took control and landed a huge powerbomb. Nikki came back with the Bella Buster and got a near fall. Match 4. Brock Lesnar vs. Zack Ryder

Sheamus got the win with a second White Noise.

Breeze landed a couple of nice moves, but it wasn't enough to keep the Celtic Warrior down.

Match 4. Nikki Bella vs. Stephanie McMahon

Match 5. Elimination - The Industry vs. Prime Time Players

Match 6. Undertaker vs. Kevin Nash w/ Triple H
Nash landed his own chokeslam as Triple H threw in a chair. Trips distracted the ref and Nash hit Taker with that chair. Taker hit a chokeslam and got a near fall. He then hit the Tombstone, but H distracted the ref again. Nash hit the Jackknife, but Taker kicked out. Taker landed a second Tombstone, but H put Nash's foot on the rope. Nash kicked out of a chokeslam onto a chair. Taker landed a THIRD tombstone, but H got involved again. Taker put Nash away after a DDT.

Simple, yet effective. Wow. I can't believe he hit 3 Tombstones and Nash still kicked out. I thought he was going to win at that point.

Heat
Match 1. Santino Marella vs. Heath Slater

Match 2. Fandango vs. Wade Barrett

Match 3. Curtis Axel vs. Braun Strowman

Recap: Who will Paige and Natalya find? I still can't believe that Taker/Nash match. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see Zack Ryder for a while.

August Week 3, Year 1

NXT
Match 1. The Wyatt Family vs. The Ascension

Match 2. Braun Strowman vs. Dolph Zigger

Match 3. Lucha Dragons vs. Tyson Kidd and Cesaro
These guys are on a roll.

Match 4. Cactus Jack vs. Daniel Bryan
Will Kevin Owens get involved? We got the answer very quickly as he walked down and sat at ringside. During the match, Owens left his chair and Cactus got distracted. Bryan took advantage and attacked Cactus. He connected with his signature kicks and locked in the Yes Lock, but Cactus reached the ropes. After a diving elbow, he landed five or six more kicks and won.

Owens' distraction easily cost Cactus this match.

Match 5. Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton
Lesnar came out fighting at the bell. He landed some forearm smashes and suplexes. Orton threw Lesnar out of the ring and threw him into the barricade. He later took down Lesnar with a Lou Thesz Press. Orton hit a suplex, but Lesnar kicked out and hit 3 German suplexes. Orton kicked out of an F5. Lesnar grew frustrated and cracked Orton over the head with a chair. Orton kicked out of 3 more German suplexes and a second F5. WOW! Lesnar landed four more chair shots and won.

Lesnar dominated the champ. He was a man on a mission and wasn't going to stop. He's scary.

Match 6. Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt
Balor suplexed Bray onto the top rope and then kicked him in the face. Bray came back with a back suplex and pin attempt. After a Pele kick, Balor hit the shotgun dropkick and sit-out powerbomb. Bray tossed Balor and landed a running senton. Bray kicked out of a reverse Bloody Sunday. Balor connected with a Codebreaker and Coup de Grace, but Bray kicked out again. Balor continued with a Bloody Sunday to win.

Finn busted out of moves we haven't seen before. Bray didn't get much offense in.

WWF
Match 1. Christian vs. Neville vs. The Miz vs. Tyler Breeze
Neville beat down Breeze on the outside. Miz sent Christan to the outside moments later. Miz went after Neville's leg, keeping him grounded. He then hit a diving elbow drop. Christian then hit Neville with one of his own. Miz caught Breeze with a big boot and hit the Skull Crushing Finale to win.

Decent 4 way, but a little short to my liking.

Match 2. Nikki Bella vs. Stephanie McMahon

Match 3. Rick Rude vs. Dallas Page

Match 4. Prime Time Player vs. The Nation
I guess R-Truth was the difference maker.

Match 5. Elimination - The Industry vs. The New Day
Rollins then hit Kofi with two full nelson suplexes. Kofi went for a hurricanrana, but Ryback countered it into a sit-out powerbomb. Big E hit Rollins with a super fall away slam. Ryback broke up Big E's pin attempt after the Big Ending. Ryback landed the meat hook clothesline and powerbomb on Kofi. Big E eliminated Rollins after a second Big Ending. Whoa! Ryback hit two Shell Shocks, but Kofi broke up the pin attempts. New Day hit the Big Ending/diving elbow to win.

Wow. The New Day dominated The Industry. Power of Positivity

Match 6. John Cena vs. Triple H and Kevin Nash
Cena Cena overcome the odds again? Cena caught Nash with a second-rope tornado DDT.Cena took Nash down with a shoulder tackle. He went for the AA, but Nash countered it and hit the knockout punch. Cena countered the Jackknife and hit the AA, but Triple H broke up the pin. Cena made his comeback and hit Triple H with the AA, but Nash broke it up. The match spilled to the outside. Triple H landed a spine buster, but Cena kicked out. Nash landed a leg drop and Triple H hit the Pedigree and busted Cena open, but Cena kicked out again! Triple H pinned Cena after a superplex.

Cena did everything he could. Multiple finishers and many kick outs, but the numbers were too much.

Heat
Match 1. Santino Marella vs. Damien Sandow

Match 2. Fandango vs. Zack Ryder vs. Bo Dallas

Match 3. Curtis Axel vs. Neville

Recap: NXT has a lot going on right now. The title picture is very crowded and Kevin Owens is getting in the head of Cactus Jack. The Industry went 1-1, but the win was a big one.

August Week 2, Year 1

NXT
Match 1. Emma vs. Natalya

Match 2. Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens
Champ vs. Champ. Owens hit a gut buster and running senton splash. Orton landed some stomps and a snap DDT. Owens came back with a short-arm clothesline and super rolling senton. Orton dodged the cannonball splash and hit a twisting back suplex. He later hit the second-rope DDT and punt kick. Owens got up and won with the pop-up powerbomb.

Orton busted out of old-school moves, but the US champ got it done.

Match 3. Sin Cara w/ Kalisto vs. Cesaro w/ Tyson Kidd
At one point, the ref went after Kidd and ejected him from the match. He did absolutely nothing! This is a travesty. After a double underhook slam, he hit the Very European uppercut, but Sin Cara kicked out. Sin Cara then kicked out of the Neutralizer. Cesaro hit three consecutive gut wrench slams. He hit a second Neutralizer and got the win.

I would have prefered Kalisto/Cesaro, but this match was good, too. Sin Cara put up a fight. Cesaro could have a nice singles run.

Match 4. William Regal vs. Ken Shamrock

Match 5. Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt
Bray is now 2-0 vs. Finn.

Match 6. The Rock vs. Edge
There were some bg moves early. Edge hit a leg drop and flapjack. Rock made a comeback with some open-palm punches and locked in the Sharpshooter. Edge hit the Edgecution and then tossed Rock up and speared him on the way down, but Rock kicked out. Rock hit a clothesline and the Rock Bottom, but Edge kicked out. Edge got a near fall with a German suplex and bridge. There was some back-and-forth action late, but Rock came out with a second Rock Bottom to win.

Great match. Rock and Edge have a contrast in styles. The reversal of finishers was cool.

WWF
Match 1. The Nation vs. Prime Time Players and R-Truth
Is this the first time booking The Nation? Faarooq hit Titus with a huge powerbomb. Kama hit Darren with a shoulder breaker. Truth got control for his team with a snap slam and leg drop. Truth caught Faarooq with the Lie Detector. Faarooq came back with the Dominator, but Truth kicked out. Titus and Truth landed a back breaker/elbow drop combo and D'Lo broke it up at the last moment. When everything broke down, Truth connected with the What's Up to win.

Decent 6-man tag. I wish I could do something with The Nation. Maybe later.

Match 2. Neville vs. Tyler Breeze
I felt bad simming this match.

Match 3. Cameron vs. Naomi

Match 4. Nikki Bella vs. Stephanie McMahon

Match 5. Elimination - Ryback and Seth Rollins vs. The Usos
Ryback threw Jimmy into the steel post and slammed him on the mat. Seth missed the Phoenix Splash. Ryback and Seth landed a snapmare/running boot combo. The Usos hit Rollins with the Alley Uce. Jimmy missed a 450 splash and Seth followed it up with a springboard 450 of his own. Jimmy kicked out of a Pedigree. The Industry was in control for a long time. Ryback finally eliminated Jimmy after a Shell Shock. Jey was distracted by Ryback, which allowed Rollins to hit the Pedigree and win.

Wow. That match took forever. The Usos unloaded a lot, but The Industry pulled out the win.

Match 6. John Cena vs. Kevin Nash
Is this the help Triple H called for? Cena hit a hip toss and gut wrench at the bell. Nash came back with a running knee and clothesline. Cena hit a shoulder tackle, but Nash came out of nowhere with a knockout punch and the Jackknife. Cena kicked out, but Nash was back on offense again. Nash hit a second punch. Cena busted out the AA, but Nash kicked out at the last second. Cena went for a shoulder tackle, but Nash countered and hit a second Jackknife to win.

Nash took Cena down a peg. Now, can The Industry capitalize? Is Nash aligned with HHH?

Heat
Match 1. Santino Marella vs. Jack Swagger

Match 2. Curtis Axel vs. Damien Sandow vs. Zack Ryder

Match 3. Fandango vs. Adam Rose

Recap: What a week. NXT had three great matches. The elimination tag on SmackDown was amazing, and Nash destroyed Cena.

August Week 1, Year 1

This is the first week of Saturday Night Heat, a minor show for both brands. I also changed Superstars to 2002-2004 era SmackDown.

NXT
Match 1. The Wyatt Family vs. The Dudleyz

Match 2. Paige vs. Emma

Match 3. Lucha Dragons vs. Kidd and Cesaro
Kalisto hit Cesaro with a fancy head scissors takedown. He then landed a rolling heel kick and got a near fall. The Dragons then hit a one-arm powerbomb and diving clothesline combo. Cesaro came back with the Neutralizer and a German suplex. Kidd came in and wore down Kalisto with many submissions. He then made him tap with the Dungeon Lock.

Good match. I like the arsenal of moves Kidd and Cesaro have.

Match 4. Dolph Ziggler vs. Damien Sandow

Match 5. Cactus Jack vs. Kevin Owens
Owens landed multiple forearm smashes at the start of the match. He later hit a spinning sidewalk slam. Cactus hit his running knee in the corner and got a near fall. He then hit a spike piledriver, then somehow busted Owens open. Owens came back with the cannonball splash in the corner. Cactus kicked out of the pop-up powerbomb. Cactus came back and won with a second running knee in the corner.

Wow. I was not expecting that finish. Not that Cactus won, but how he won.

Match 6. Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt
After a little back-and-forth, Bray landed a clothesline and a huge pump handle slam. Balor hit a running sit-out powerbomb, but couldn't capitalize. He hit a diving splash and shotgun dropkick. He then hit another dropkick and got a near fall. Bray hit a one-arm slam and went for the pin, but Balor grabbed the rope. Bray did his creepy walk and hit Sister Abigail, but Balor kicked out again. Balor landed a superplex and got a long two count. Bray hit a second finisher to win.

After the match, Bray continued his attack on Balor, sending a message to the rest of the roster.

Balor had a couple of hope spots, but this was Bray Wyatt all the way.

WWF
Match 1. Mikey Whipwreck vs. Bam Bam Bigelow

Match 2. DDP vs. Rick Rude vs. Savio Vega vs. Vader
A legends 4-way.

Match 3. Nikki Bella vs. Stephanie McMahon
These matches have been entertaining, so why not? Steph took Nikki down with a snapmare and slapped her across the face. She hit a spine buster, but Nikki kicked out and hit the Bella Buster. After a two count, Nikki landed the Rack Attack, but Steph kicked out again. Steph hit the Pedigree, but got a near fall. Steph landed a nice hurricanrana and a second Pedigree to win.

Told you! Steph gets a nice win against the champ.

Match 4. The New Day vs. The Usos
Jey hit Big E with a Samoan drop and followed it up with a suplex and flying splash to Kofi. Big E hit Jimmy with a belly-to-belly and locked in a camel clutch. New Day then hit a Big Ending/diving elbow combo and Kofi got the three count.

What?! Nice finisher, but that match was short. New Day want those tag titles.

Match 5. Sheamus vs. Ric Flair vs. Christian
This is non-title.

Match 6. Triple H vs. John Cena
Cena busted out a hurricanrana. H landed a gut buster and immediately followed it up with a suplex. Triple H focused on the head and neck area of Cena. He landed a diving elbow drop. Cena made a comeback and countered the spine buster into a DDT. He then hit the AA, but H kicked out. H did connect with the spine buster and Pedigree, but could not follow it up with a pin. Cena hit the 5 Knuckle Shuffle and a second AA to win.

Another good match between these two. Not the best, but good enough. Triple H may need more help.

Heat
Match 1. Santino Marella vs. R-Truth

Match 2. Curtis Axel vs. Damien Sandow

Match 3. Braun Strowman vs. Fandango

Recap: Heat was whatever. Not the best first week. However, this was a great week of matches. Some great rivalries are building here.

WWF BATTLEGROUND, Year 1

This is a WWF-only show. Four months in the books.

Match 1. Sheamus vs. The Miz - WWF Intercontinental Championship
Miz landed a few moves and sent Sheamus to the outside. Sheamus hit White Noise and a German suplex. He continued with a super back suplex. He finished Miz off with the Celtic Cross and retained his title.

Sheamus made quick work of Miz. Who's next in line for the IC title?

Match 2. Nikki Bella vs. Stephanie McMahon - WWF Divas Championship
I'm actually looking forward to this match. Steph kicked out of a super back suplex and the Bella Buster. Steph came back and hit the Pedigree, but Nikki kicked out. She hit a nice powerbomb, but got a 2 count. Steph hit a back suplex and second-rope diving elbow. Nikki countered a spine buster into a DDT. Steph landed a spike DDT. Both women made it to their feet. Nikki won with a reverse STO to retain her title.

Great match. Nikki had to hit her finisher twice and it still wasn't enough. She defeated the boss.

Match 3. Neville vs. Tyler Breeze
Neville caught Breeze off the ropes with a super kick. He later hit a German suplex and dropkick to the side of the head. He landed a shooting star press, but Breeze kicked out. Neville clotheslined Breeze out of the ring. He went for a dive, but Breeze ran in and took him down. Tyler then DDT'd Neville onto the apron. Breeze ducked a clothesline and hit the Supermodel kick, but Neville kicked out. Neville landed a superkick and springboard 450 splash to win.

Good mid-card match. Neville has a very impressive moveset, and Breeze has a nice aggressive side.

Match 4. Prime Time Players vs. The Usos - WWF Tag Team Championship
The PTP hit a back breaker/diving elbow combo. Darren landed a back stabber on Jey. They continued with a double gut buster on both Usos. Darren ducked a superkick and hit a German suplex. Jimmy landed a huge splash on Darren and Jey hit a corner splash on Titus. While on offense, Jey made the mistake and targeted Darren. This allowed Titus to hit a huge pump handle slam to retain the titles.

A good tag team title match. Nothing exciting. I'm just bored of these two teams.

Match 5. Shawn Michaels vs. Batista
Batista was toying with Michaels early. He tossed him around with ease and kicked him away. Michaels hit a piledriver and a diving elbow drop. A minute or two later, he hit another piledriver and connected with the Sweet Chin Music. It wasn't enough as Batista kicked out. Michaels hit a second superkick, but Batista kicked out before one. Michaels went to the top rope. As he jumped, Batista leapt up and speared him in mid-air. Batista hit a spine buster and Batista Bomb to win.

Great match. Michaels pulled out some big moves, but not enough to put away The Animal.

Match 6. Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins and Ryback
Rollins and Ryback beat down Reigns. Ryback landed a spine buster and Rollins hit a heel kick. Reigns got the tag to Ambrose. Rollins hit Ambrose with a super kick. Ambrose landed a bulldog and tagged in Reigns. Rollins busted Reigns open with a Pedigree. He then hit the double foot stomp off the top. Ryback landed a front suplex and knee to the head of Ambrose. Ryback kicked out of Dirty Deeds. Dean placed Ryback on the top. Ryback countered and landed a double ax handle to win.

The Industry gets a win under their belt. The summer months are heating up.

Main Event. Steel Cage - John Cena vs. Triple H - World Championship
Cena made an escape attempt early. Triple H pulled him down and hti a piledriver. Cena threw H face-first into the cage. Triple H blocked the 5 Knuckle Shuffle. Cena countered the spine buster into a DDT and began to climb. Triple H must have had a concussion, but he was down long enough to let Cena escape.

Wow. That was a bummer. Maybe I don't do cage matches anymore...

Recap: Besides the main event, this was a good show. The women's match and Michaels/Batista match were very good. Who will be Cena's next challenger?
